SANpulse’s technical team has a long track record of successful work within the storage industry, and knows first-hand the challenges present in today’s demanding business environment. Together, these individuals form a solid, success-driven ensemble that understands the challenges of managing and optimizing complex data center infrastructures.

Peter Mehta
Chief Executive Officer

Peter Mehta joined SANpulse in 2006 and began to build and integrate various facets of the business. In his role as CEO, he is responsible for all aspects of SANpulse's strategy, operations and execution. Peter has established alliances & partnerships with key industry leaders within the storage industry, built a strong management team and developed a culture that inspires and rewards creativity and unity within the organization. Prior to SANpulse, Peter founded an IT Services Firm which he built into a multi-national entity and sold in 2006. He also held a senior level executive position with a multi-national manufacturing company. He has extensive global experience in treasury, investor relations, business strategy, acquisitions and divestitures, finance, and operations.

Peter is a results-oriented, client-focused executive who drives value by delivering on professional commitments and looking for new ways to serve clients. Peter earned his B.S. degree in Accounting and Finance from NYU’s Stern School of Business.

Gerard Lam
Founder, President and Chief Technology Officer

Gerard Lam, the founder of SANpulse Technologies is an industry leader in the efforts to modernize, standardize, automate and revolutionize the SAN Industry. Gerard has extensive experience in architecting professional services, streaming media and storage solutions and was responsible for the development of an in-house, open source network monitoring system that replaced Netcool.

During his tenure at Accenture, he was instrumental in establishing the Information Storage Consulting (ISC) practice. Following Accenture, Gerard focused on implementing storage solutions at a global financial institution, subsequently leaving to dedicate his full time effort to the development of SANpulse and his SAN Decision Support System known as SANlogics.

Gerard leads SANpulse with a rare combination of management science discipline, experience as a technology visionary, programmer, SAN consultant and software designer. His specialized education discipline, proficiency in technology, understanding of business needs, and experience with Fortune 500 companies have contributed to his creating innovative solutions for the complexity of today’s SAN environments and storage initiatives. Gerard earned his B.S. degree in Management Science & Information Systems from the Pennsylvania State University.

Carl Fischer
Chief Financial Officer

Carl Fischer has over 30 years of diverse financial management experience in the Consumer Finance, Software Development, Communications Equipment Distribution, Pharmaceutical and Digital Media fields.  He recently worked for Giant Realm (a vertical ad network in New York) as CFO helping the startup company raise money on its initial round and grow revenue from zero to $4 million in just over two years.  He was instrumental in the successful divestiture of the company in October, 2009.  For the 20 years prior to that role, he held senior management roles in the finance departments (ranging from director of finance to CFO) of three different companies in three different industries.

Carl has spent 23 years of his career with small, entrepreneurial companies helping build stable, productive finance departments that are instrumental in the company’s growth path.  Carl has a finance degree from Seton Hall University and an MBA in finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Tony Maddalone
Vice President, Sales

Tony Maddalone brings over 30 years of sales management and major account development experience to SANpulse as Vice President of Sales. His strategic planning and relationship building expertise strengthens and expands the channel partner program at SANpulse. With a personal track record of exceeding objectives and quota year after year, Tony equips and directs the global sales team.

Most recently, Tony was Regional Sales Director for IBM NY/NJ Division where he built the new XIV Storage Division in NY/NJ. He has also held executive sales and sales management positions at EMC, Hitachi Data Systems, Amdahl Corporation, Wang Labs, and IBM.

Tony earned his degree in Political Science/Economics from Albright College and an MBA degree in Marketing/Finance from Suffolk University.

John McGeever
Vice President, Product Management

As VP of Product Management, John McGeever brings to SANpulse over 20 years of experience from his work in Information Technology for the Defense, Finance, OEM, and Software sectors.

Over those years John has held various technical and management positions including: Systems Programmer/Analyst at Grumman Data Systems, DVP Manager of Unix Systems at Paine Webber, VP Manager of Data Center Systems Administration at Merrill Lynch, Project Manager at JP Morgan/Chase, as well as many years focused on Storage Area Networks with Lehman Brothers, McData/Brocade, and now SANpulse Technologies.

In his current role at SANpulse John is responsible for the development of SANpulse’s product strategy and roadmap. As such he is concerned with every aspect of the customer life cycle and customer experience and works to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality SANpulse product offerings.

John received his B.S. in Computer Science from St. John's University in Jamaica, New York.

Chetan Shah
Vice President, Development
Managing Director, India

Chetan Shah joined SANpulse in 2011 as Vice President, Software Development, and is responsible for all of SANpulse technology initiatives that support the delivery of client solutions. As managing Director of SANpulse Technology Pvt. Ltd., he is also responsible for SANpulse’s India operations.

Prior to SANpulse, Chetan was Chief Operation Officer at Synygy, Inc. where he was responsible for establishing the software organization and professional services staff focused on developing sales compensation management and other sales performance management applications. During his tenure, Synygy achieved “Hall of Fame” status on the Inc.l 500 List – a feat accomplished by only 65 companies in the 22-year history of the list. He was instrumental in leading Synygy’s technological innovation, including the first 100% web-based software suite in the sales performance management space and the first web 2.0 and mobile-enabled sales portal for sales people. He has worked with Fortune 500 and global companies such as General Electric, OfficeMax, Cigna, Eaton, DowJones, PepsiCo, Deutsche Bank, Hewlett Packard, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Tat Teleservices, etc.

Chetan holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Scranton and a Bachelor degree in Commerce from Sydenham College, University Bombay (Mombai, India).

Prakash Vyas
Vice President, Delivery

Prior to joining SANpulse, Prakash held senior roles in professional services at EMC, Xansa, Logica and UK Central Government. He has 19 years of experience spanning Delivery, Consulting, Outsourcing and Sales – all diverse marketing offerings and geography. This period is hallmarked with a strong track record of structuring agile delivery in business critical environments, whilst maintaining strong operational control.

As VP of Delivery, he ensures the power and capabilities of the SANpulse solutions are fully leveraged by our clients for accelerated and safe data migration.

Prakash is a graduate from Imperial College, London, an Alumnus of IMD in Switzerland and Harvard University (DCE), USA. He is a full member of the Institution of Engineering & Technology, where he is conferred as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) & MIET.
